1. Define Your Research Interests

You must clearly articulate your research interests before contacting the PI.
Please review the RESEARCH section and specify:

• The topics you are interested in
• Your motivation for pursuing them
• How you plan to extend or contribute to the field

Generic or vague statements will not be considered.

2. Select Your Application Track

Applicants must apply through one of the following graduate programs (MS, PhD, and Integrated MS-PhD):

• Department of AX Semiconductor Engineering (AX반도체공학과, 일반대학원) This program is established to cultivate AX semiconductor professionals capable of applying artificial intelligence across the entire semiconductor lifecycle, from design and manufacturing to system optimization. It provides integrated education in AI, data analytics, semiconductor devices, circuits, architecture, and manufacturing, combined with industry-driven projects and entrepreneurship training to foster future leaders in the AI-powered semiconductor industry.

• Department of System Semiconductor Engineering (시스템반도체공학과, 삼성전자 대학원 계약학과) This program is jointly established with Samsung Electronics to cultivate world-class system semiconductor engineers.
  It provides comprehensive education spanning semiconductor devices, circuits, architecture, and system software, covering the full stack from device-level fundamentals to system-level design.

• Department of Intelligent Display Engineering (지능형디스플레이공학과, 첨단산업 특성화대학원) This program focuses on next-generation display technologies and interdisciplinary design across devices, materials, circuits, and optics.
  It emphasizes project-based learning and strong industry collaboration to train engineers capable of solving real-world problems in emerging display and interface technologies.

Please clearly indicate your selected track in your email.

• A concise statement of your research interests
• Your selected application track

Important: Only well-prepared inquiries demonstrating clear research alignment will be considered.
Applicants are expected to show initiative and a strong understanding of the lab’s research directions.
